VSS recruiting consultant for training on gender sensitivity


The Victims Support Section (VSS) at the ECCC is recruiting one international consultant to conduct trainings for court staff and NGO workers on gender sensitivity in transitional justice processes. This training is a follow-up to a workshop conducted in 2012. Deadline for applications is 15 July 2013 at 4 pm.

Cambodian Women Oral History Project on the way

Inspired by the Asia-Pacific Regional Women’s Hearing 2012, Theresa de Langis, a Cambodian-based independent consultant on women’s human rights in conflict settings, has initiated an oral history project to collect the testimonies of Cambodian women’s full experience during the conflict called “Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, Wives.” This article features an introduction on her work.

On 11 and 12 October 2012, CDP in cooperation with TPO and VSS organized the second Women’s Hearing under the title “Asia-Pacific Regional Women’s Hearing on Gender-Based Violence in Conflict”.
