CEDAW takes up situation in Cambodia

The Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) is holding its periodic review of Cambodia’s report on 8 October 2013. In the preparation thereof, CEDAW heard issues presented by Cambodian civil society organizations on 7 October 2013 which also addressed gender-based violence during the Khmer Rouge regime. This press release summarizes the dialogue between CEDAW and the Cambodian NGOs.

CDP recruiting student volunteers for Women’s Hearing 2013


CDP will host the third Women’s Hearing on the topic of Gender-Based Violence during the Khmer Rouge regime in September 2013. This year’s panel for the Hearing will consist of student volunteers. CDP is now recruiting volunteers based on the Student Panel Terms of Reference. Deadline for applications is 31 July 2013.
